James Scott's Ride
Why I Ride ...
2010 is my fifth consecutive PMC. As I did in 2008 and 2009, I'm riding with the Pedals for Pediatrics team. All the funds we raise go directly to support children fighting cancer.
I ride in memory of and in support of my many friends and relatives who have battled or are battling cancer, but in special memory of Cian Crowley, who succumbed to neuroblastoma in 2006 after just six months of life. Cian is the son of my friend Jen. He was diagnosed shortly after I returned from my first PMC in 2006, and died before Halloween that year. Jen's experience made me aware of the important role that the Jimmy Fund plays in helping families cope with their sick children. I am happy that the money we raise goes entirely and exclusively to help children beat their cancer.
