Like just about everyone these days, cancer has from time to time come uninvited into my life.  I was fortunate that it's stay's were brief and effected maily those who had enjoyed full lives. I'm not nieve enough to think I've seen the last of it. 

I became involved with PMC as simply another personal challenge in my life.  That was until I met the actual people involved.  I met doctors, survivors and family members alike.  I heard stories of how cancer had changed families so unexpectedly.  I quickly realized that I did in fact have another personal challenge in my life, yet not as selfish as my original challenge.

My little friend to my left here is symbolic of how I will feel the week before the race if I don't get some serious training  and some help with my fundraising.
