2008's ride will always be memorable. Brian, Carol, Ellen and I rode out of Wellesley as The B-Team and together raised nearly $28,000 in support of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund. In Holland the fourth 'Beasley girl' and 2004 PMCer Joanne was rooting for us. From Provincetown we spoke with her by phone, wishing her a happy 53rd birthday. Just nine days later metastasized breast cancer ended her life.
