Jeffrey Brener's Ride

Why I Ride ...

Dear Friends,

Although it has been a cold and wet Spring I have managed to put on over 800 training miles for my 17th ride in the PMC and by the time August 6th and 7th rolls around I hope to have another 2,200 more miles logged in.

Why do I train so hard to ride in the Pan Mass Challenge you might ask?  I do it for my brother who died of Ewing Sarcoma in 1996 and my father who died of Pancreatic Cancer in 2007.   I do it to make them proud of me and I do it so my kids will have a chance to live in a world without Cancer.

The Pan Mass Challenge is a 192 mile bike-a-thon to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, (DFCI) through its Jimmy Fund.  This year’s PMC goal is $34 million of which 100% of all money raised will go to the DFCI which will be added to the total of $303 million donated since 1980.

In order to participate in the PMC I have to make a commitment to raise $4200.00 but that is not good enough, so I have set a personal goal of $8400.00.  Although this is an aggressive goal but with your help I am confident that we can reach it.

Please consider making a donation to this worthwhile cause.  You can either mail your check made out to the PMC to:

Jeffrey Brener, P.O. Box 401, Concord, MA 01742

or to use a credit card, go on-line to  http://www.pmc.org/profile/JB0083

We need your help and support so no one else has to suffer needlessly from this deadly disease.

Thank you in advance for your generous donation to the PMC.

With gratitude,

Jeff Brener
