Why I Ride ...

The 2008 PMC, my first ride, was an incredibly moving and inspirational experience for me; from the training and falling in love with cycling, to the trip around Fenway Park before a Red Sox game, to raising over $8,000, to riding across MA and hearing "thank you" over and over again…it was emotionally rewarding experience and incredibly moving.
For 2009 I am committed to raising more than I did in 2008, riding better, and helping others get involved and raise money. I again ride as a survivor, one of the lucky ones; I ride as a son whose father continues his own battle with Cancer, and I ride as a new father who hopes we can continue making progress for the next generation.
Without treatment advances I may have never ridden in the PMC, never had that beautiful child, and not have the life I so enjoy today…I need your help to make this ride a success and I sincerely appreciate any donation you can give, especially in these challenging economic times; remember though, Cancer does not go up and down with the Dow Jones average, or rise and fall with the real estate market - as damaging as the economic crisis has been, the toll exacted by Cancer every year is far greater, but with your help we can continue to make progress towards making Cancer a national priority and finding a cure together.
