| 6-Gaps Check it out, we did this on July 11th in 2009, one day! 132miles with 11k feet of vertical, ouch! |
| The B2B, Boston to Windsor VT This was the 2009 B2B ride, 150mi in one day. We did this in 7:34hrs @ 19.9mph avg, yikes! I road in the 2010 B2B and it was a suffer-fest. I averaged 18.5mph in 8:00hrs. It was hot with lots of cramping. |
Why I Ride ...
I love to ride and I'm blessed with the God given gift and ability to even participate in such an event. Last year, with the help of Team ROAG and you, I was able meet my goal of $4200. This year, my goal is to meet the minimum and more. This event is about giving, and putting time and energy into something that makes a difference in other people's lives. We've all been touched by someone who has fallen to cancer or become sick and is in the battle of their lives, literally! There are countless numbers of co-workers and friends who have battled cancer and won (Rich, Deb, Joy, Robin) and those who are fighting hard (Janice, Gregg and more). There's nothing more important than to continue to raise funds for research and finding cures! This is my second PMC and I'm excited to participate with a group of riders whom I've become close friends with and have been cycling with for four years. Team ROAG is very experienced and very fast, age is not an excuse. We will ride hard for the cause and you can too, in spirit, by contributing what ever amount possible! There's nothing more gratifying than contributing, we all know the feeling of accomplishment when we give!
With great love and thanks for your gifts,
Greg Piper!
