Garrett Lunden's Ride

Why I Ride ...

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope you are all doing well! I will be riding in my fourth Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) this year . For those of you who don't already know, the PMC is a 2-day, 192 mile bike-a-thon that starts in Sturbridge, MA and ends at the very tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown. The PMC raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. This event has become a major part of my life and is a great source of pride for me. It is amazing how much good 5,000 people in spandex can do in one weekend! In fact, the PMC raised a record-breaking 35 million dollars this past year, which is over half of the Jimmy Fund's annual revenue!

Every dollar I raise gets us one step closer to eradicating cancer and saving families from pain and suffering. I need your help more than ever this year to raise money for the Jimmy Fund.

Thanks to the PMC's many corporate sponsors (including my company PwC), 100% of all the money I raise goes directly to Dana Farber. You can rest assured that 100% of your donations go directly to those who need it most. Any contribution from you will be greatly appreciated, not only by me, but by all of the cancer patients who count on the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Institute for support.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.  Thank you!
