Glen Glater's Ride
Why I Ride ...
I am writing today to ask you for your financial support in my fundraising effort, and for your moral support in my training and riding.
Won't you join me again in making a donation and a difference in the fight against cancer?
Many of you know that over the past 5 years I've ridden the PMC in honor of my mother (and other friends and family) who were on the front lines in the battle against cancer. In June of 2008, a couple of months before the 2008 PMC, Mom passed away from liver cancer. Since then, too many of my friends and their friends and families have been adversely affected by cancer.
Each year I ride with a list of names of people who are fighting the fight against cancer and also those that we have lost to this horrible disease. If you would like me to include the name of a friend or loved-one this year please let me know their name and I will add them to my list.
To make a donation using a credit card, you can go to the web site http://ridingtowardacure.org.
If you would like to make a donation by check, please make the check payable to "PMC-Jimmy Fund" and mail it to:
Glen Glater
28 Reynolds Ave.
Natick, MA 01760
If your company has a matching gifts program, please take the time to complete the paperwork and send it to the address above.
A generous friend has donated a pair of tickets to a Summer 2012 Red Sox game in support of my fundraising efforts. For every $100 of contribution, I will put an entry into the drawing for you. Donate $200, get 2 entries. Donate $400, get 4 entries. If you donate $500, you'll get 7 entries (5 entries plus a bonus 2!) Good luck!
Thank you again for your generous support!
Together, we can help find a cure for cancer!
