Geoffrey Flickinger's Ride

Why I Ride ...

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Cycling has given me for years a chance to escape the material world and be in nature and let my mind empty. I enjoy the freedom I feel riding down a country road, the beauty of the scenery, and all the excercise makes me stronger and healthier. I enjoy the comraderie of riding with friends. I enjoy finding and riding new routes and roads. I have always enjoyed the solace of individual sports, personally challenging myself and being by myself. I used to train and race triathlons and did Ironman Canada in 1995, but I don't compete much anymore.
I want to give back now. I strive each day to live a life of gratitude. It's important to me to help others now and Team Kermit gives me this opportunity.
