Francis Vahle's Ride
Why I Ride ...
In 2011, I completed the bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown. At every mile along the route, I found the outpouring of support to be overwhelming. Without a doubt, the Pan-Mass challenge was the most satisfying and worthwhile endeavor of my life. Not because of the physical exercise and sense of achievement but rather, because of the knowledge that I am helping and supporting others who have been and are currently effected by cancer.
This year, I am unable to ride in the event but will participate as a "Virtual Rider." This allows me to fundraise to support the Pan-Mass.
As I stated last year, my wife, Tabitha, and I have seen our families touched by cancer. My Mom and sister, Ginny, are cancer survivors. Tabitha's sister, Khristen, died at 40 years of age after battling it for six months. I believe that my efforts in supporting Dana-Farber will directly help those now fighting cancer while advancing the research on early detection and treatments.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I appreciate your interest in my fundraising and ask that you contribute to this very worthwhile cause.
Thank you,
Fran
