I am so excited to be participating in my first Pan Mass Challenge this August - as a member of Team NECN!  I'm willing to bet that everyone reading this has been affected by cancer in some way; whether it be a friend or a family member, chances are you know someone who has battled or continues to battle the disease.  And as you may or may not know- these past 6 months have been a difficult time for my family personally, as my younger sister, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  She has been absolutely amazing in her battle against the disease:  3 surgeries and a radioactive iodine treatment later - she is back to 100%!  The reason I'm telling you all of this is because Jackie is the motivating factor behind my decision to ride in the PMC.  She is a strong, hardworking, intelligent, kind-hearted, beautiful young woman.  And despite the fact that she is my "lil sis", I have always and will always consider her one of my biggest role models.  
I'm riding for her, and I'm riding for anyone else who has been personally affected by cancer in any way, shape or form.  If you see it in your heart (and your budget too) to sponsor me in the PMC, I would be so grateful.  Whether it's a penny, a dollar, ten dollars or more...every little bit counts.
