Why I Rode ...
What a great ride this year! I met some amazing people this past weekend! Some survivors, some caregivers, some friends and family members, all touched by one thing, the devastating effect cancer can have on life. I've been a proud supporter of the PMC for the past 13 years because it is leading a charge to do just one thing; Beat Cancer. Now, after my 11th ride, I get a chance to reflect a bit and think about why I do this.
It had been a few years since I logged all the training miles and reached out to everyone I know in order to hit the ultimate goal that first Sunday in August; Finish the ride strong and raise the money that helps doctors, families and patients continue the fight against cancer.
This is a fight we can win! That is why I do it. We DO live in an era where cancer is beatable. This is one way I can help and I appreciate you donating what you can and your willingness to be involved.
