Danny Muehlschlegel's Ride
Why we are riding...
Dear Friends and Family,
Next weekend Susanne and I will be riding the Pan Mass Challenge. For me, it will be the 4th consecutive ride. For Susanne, it will be her first. The Pan Mass Challenge is the biggest annual sporting fundraiser in the US in the form of a 2-day 155 mile bicycle ride. The special part is that this year, Susanne and I will be riding on a tandem. Since the farthest we have ever ridden together is 42 miles, and since Susanne is still breast-feeding, it will definitely will be a challenge.
We are riding for my friend and colleague Vlad Formanek who
is battling an inoperable brain cancer, and Susanne’s father Kurt who just last
year was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. Kurt and Vlad are both doing
remarkably well, and our ride is dedicated to them and their ongoing fight.
We do realize that we need to do our part in fundraising, so Susanne and I have started our own matching program. For every first-time donation, we will match dollar-for-dollar every amount you donate over $100. For all repeat donators, we will match any amount over last year’s donation. (Fine print: our total maximum matching will be $1,000).
