For the past two years, my wife, Jeanne, rode in loving memory of our niece, Maddie Savoie, who passed away on October 16^th 2008, at 10 years old, after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer. This year, I am proud and excited to be taking over the ride for Jeanne, riding my first Pan Mass Challenge in memory of Maddie, knowing that my efforts  will be helping other families fight this horrible disease.  I will be joining the team, Pedals For Pediatics.

The Pedals for Pediatrics team is dedicated to raising money for, and awareness of, pediatric oncology services and research at the Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Care (DF/CHCC).  We are fortunate to be able to utilize the PMC funds we raise to directly benefit the patients and families through program support, direct financial assistance, and research.

With your support, last year our team raised $350,000! To date, the Pedals for Pediatrics team has raised $1,317,514. to support the pediatric oncology program at the DF/CHCC!  While the Pan-Mass Challenge supports the entire Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (adult and pediatric), every dollar contributed to the Pedals for Pediatrics team goes to pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology programs!
