Why I Ride ...

This year is my 8 year cancer free and this is our 8 PMC, that's 1536 miles I will have rode my bike to raise money for The Jimmy Fund. 
 
 
This has given me an opportunity to live my life and Start a Family.  The past  few year has been huge, my First son Ollie was born Aug 30 2007 and 2nd son Brad was born 1-23-10!   This is a whole new reason to continue to ride the PMC.  Every time I go for a training ride I know I am doing this so my boy will not have to go through what I did.  

 I  will be joined a fellow survivor who I met because he was working with my uncle when he was told he has cancer.  It is amazing to me to look back  and think that my last conversation with my uncle before he died:  He was telling me about him and if I would mind if he  gave him my number to talk and answere any question.   We  have meet several great people throught the PMC, now we meet up at the stops.


   Together we will peddle 192 miles across Massachusetts, so that Dana Farber can continue fighting this deadly disease of Cancer.  I am so grateful for all of Dana Farber's expertise, care and concern  they have shown me and my family during my many months of  my treatment.  It is an amazing institution of people caring for people.  This year we will continue to honor the ones we have lost, but are inspired by our friends that are fight this disease today.  We will be putting name of people  who have lost their battle with carcer  on one side of our backs.  On the other side we place the names of the people who inspire us with their fight.


No donation is too small and no donation is too large.
