Brian Murphy's Ride
Why I Ride ...
The 2009 PMC will be my third consecutive year participating in this incredible event. Unlike previous years, the current year is characterized with global and individual challenges that are impacting our abilities to make charitable donations. In light of these circumstances, I am very grateful you have taken the time to visit my PMC page. If you are visiting my PMC page to make a donation supporting my PMC ride, I cannot thank you enough.
As has been the case in prior years, I will be riding with Team Xaverian. Last year, the members of Team Xaverian collectively raised $38,750 which was earmarked to support the research efforts of Dr. Chris Turner and his staff at The Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
I continue to dedicate my individual ride to my mother who, last year, successfully beat ovarian cancer and my father who successfully fought prostate cancer several years ago. Fortunately, both my mother and father today remain healthy cancer survivors. I also have special dedications to my cousin Billy who unfortunately lost a long arduous battle with pancreatic cancer, Jim, a close friend who successfully survived cancer he contracted as a result of his service in Vietnam and Caren, another close friend who two years after undergoing cancer surgery, continues to enjoy good health.
Thank you for your support.
