Brian Kickham's Ride

Why I Ride ...

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.  Like many who read this, cancer has touched my life:  Most of the stories fortunately have ended well such as my sister's victory over breast cancer and the son of a close friend surviving childhood leukemia - he is entering college and is looking to become a State Trooper - Thanks Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund!!!

But cancer last year took the life of my cousin and friend, Bill Kickham of Florida.  Unfortunately, in May of 2010, Billy's brother, Bob passed away.  Also of lung cancer.  I am riding in their memory this year as a member of Team Kermit.  We all ride in memory of Jared Branfman who lost his battle several years ago.

My riding thoughts are also with the wife of a colleague and friend who is in a battle of her own with this terrible disease.

Please be generous.  We must work together to fund better treatments and yes, find a cure.

Thank you!
