Brian Crompton's Ride
Why I Ride ...
Welcome to my profile page and thanks for your interest in donating to this amazing cause. I am a 2nd year pediatric oncology fellow and this is my first year riding and raising money for the PanMass Challenge (PMC). The PMC is a two-day, 192 mile bike ride from Sturbridge to
I first took up riding while living in
The opportunity to care for patients and participate in research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been an amazing experience. This is my attempt to raise awareness and money for a place that is dedicated to people of all ages who are battling cancer with hope and dignity. I've joined the team Pedal for Pediatrics which earmarks all donations made through myself or my teamates for pediatric causes at the Dana-Farber and Children's Hospital.
By joining this event, I have committed to raising $4200 (and riding 192 miles in 2 days!) but I am hoping to raise $6000 by the time I'm done. I realize these are tough economic times but I hope you'll consider donating to this cause with at least some of the money you've set aside for donations this year. Obviously, large donations are wonderful, but as President Obama proved during his campaign, even small donations can make a difference when you roll them all together.
Be assured that 100% of your donation will go to the Dana-Farber for the care of patients and cancer research (corporate sponsors cover all of the logistical expenses). Instructions for making donations can be found on the "donations" tab above. The "email" tab allows you to forward a link to anyone you think may be interested in learning more about this event.
Thank you so much for considering a donation,
Brian Crompton, MD
