Ali Weber's Ride
It's just me, the road, and my MOUNTAIN BIKE!
Cancer doesn't choose who it affects, however we can choose to help fight the battle against it.
This will be my second PMC and I am more excited than ever. Just like last year, I will be completing each and every mile via mountain bike. Forget the road bike, forget the slicks... 192 miles on my trusty, clunky frame. Why mountain bike you ask? In 2008 my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 55. Thankfully, today he is well on the road to recovery, but knowing how many hours and miles I have spent on that bike, biking around with him makes me push harder through these miles.
Not only am I riding for my parents, my grandparents, friends and friends, but also YOUR friends and family. My goal is $4,200 to give back to such an amazing cause, which is why I need your help!
I will be riding alongside a few of my friends and my sister Jen; without her on my side, I don't think this would be possible. I couldn't imagine taking on this journey with anyone else. My dad is my mental inspiration and Jen is my physical inspiration, they will both keep me pedaling to the end.
Unfortunately, so many of us have been affected by cancer, and this is a chance to fight back.
