Adam Gross's Ride
Why I Ride ...
On August 6th and 7th, I will ride in my second Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) by cycling 200 miles across Massachusetts, from Sturbridge to Provincetown. I will be riding with my good friend Larry Portman, who introduced me to the PMC. Larry’s sister, Audrey, was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago. The doctors of Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber have been treating Audrey. I am very happy to hear that her MRI's keep coming back "Stable" and she is doing great today. I am riding for her, my step-mom Carolyn, my friend Steve and and the many, many others who need the care and expertise of hospitals like Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Since it was founded in 1980, the PMC has raised $300 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute though its Jimmy Fund. The Pan-Mass Challenge is a model of fundraising efficiency. The PMC donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to the cause. The PMC generates half of the Jimmy Fund's annual revenue and is Dana-Farber’s single largest contributor. Dana-Farber has been ranked as the best cancer hospital in New England and fifth best in the nation.
I would love to reach the goal of raising $20,000 and need all your help. Please make a contribution to support my PMC ride by making an egift on this page (http:www.pmc.org/profile/AG0169).I appreciate that you mave made supporting my PMC ride a priority, and I also know that you support other great charities that are important to you.
Thank you very much,
Adam Gross
