Why I Ride ...
Looking ahead towards my second ride in the PMC, I am hoping to raise $3,000 to help the Jimmy Fund.
I'm riding for a friend of mine who died after a courageous battle with
leukemia. From the time that Katie was diagnosed with leukemia, she showed an inner strength that inspired all of those around her. Not getting caught up in the "why is this happening to me" attitude, Katie made sure that she went through every day with a contagious smile. Katie's sense of humor got
her and all of us through her long and painful treatments. After Katie's passing, I decided to do what I could do to help out others who found themselves in a similar situation. Unfortunately, cancer is not a choice, but I know that every contribution makes a difference. This is why I am asking for you to join me in donating to this great cause. Many people say that they would donate if only they
were asked. If you're reading this, then consider yourself asked. If you know anyone who has been affected by cancer, then you know the challenges experienced by the patients, their family and friends. I encourage you to donate and help make a difference in people's lives. Every dollar makes a
difference.
