This spring and summer, PMCer Justin Merolla is taking his training for the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge further than most. In June, Merolla will participate in an Ironman Triathlon in Nice, France. This Ironman race is made up of a 2.4 mile swim in the Mediterranean Sea, a 112-mile bike ride through mountains and former stages of the Tour de France, and then, he will run a full 26.2-mile marathon. Merolla's goal is to complete the course in 11 hours.

BMW Massachusetts Co-Op is putting together a PMC photo mosaic and looking for PMCers' photos. BMW is the official vehicle of the PMC. BMW Massachusetts Co-Op is hosting the BMW Rider Village at the PMC's Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) hub site, which serves as a finish line for thousands of one-day riders and as the half-way point for two-day riders. This hospitality area will be a place for riders to relax and recoup after their ride. It will feature a lounge, satellite TV and more.

Volunteer registration is open for the 32nd Pan-Massachusetts Challenge.  The PMC is seeking help with set-up, luggage transportation, registration, medical support, bike repairs, security, food service, and clean-up. Volunteers massage therapists are also needed to relieve cyclists' sore muscles. Volunteers are involved in nearly every aspect of the PMC, beginning months before the ride and well after the last rider finishes.
