Pan-Mass Challenge

Things can get crowded as thousands of cyclists arrive at the Mass Maritime Academy Saturday afternoon ending the first day of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge. Add to that hundreds of volunteers, family, friends and Cape Cod traffic, it can be a tricky situation. To make things as smooth as possible, the following rules are in place at MMA in Bourne this weekend:

Get the latest PMC gear and bike accessories at the Health and Sports Expos held in Sturbridge and Wellesley (Babson College) on Friday, August 6. The expos are part of the annual PMC Opening Ceremony, which includes a live show on NECN from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Twenty-six vendors will be touting give-a-ways and inside peaks at some of this year's hottest items. PMCers will also have the opportunity to register as bone marrow donors and save lives.

Pan-Mass Challenge

Among the 5,100+ cyclists who will begin their Pan-Massachusetts Challenge trek on Saturday at sunrise will be two very familiar Massachusetts politicians who most often meet on opposite sides of the aisle. But Sens. John Kerry and Scott Brown will put their political differences aside, suit up in spandex and bike 111 miles from Sturbridge to Bourne on the day one of the two day event.
