Join the Pan-Mass Challenge in Celebrating its Heavy Hitters

Leading Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Physicians and Researchers to Share Impact of $45 Million Gift

WHAT: The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) will host an evening to celebrate the 2015 fundraising success of its Heavy Hitters, a group of high-achieving supporters that contributed to a record setting gift of $45 million to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This gift helped the PMC reach an astounding half-billion dollars raised for Dana-Farber since 1980. Edward J. Benz, Jr., MD, president and CEO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will join Billy Starr, PMC founder and executive director, for one of his last PMC events as President and CEO of Dana-Farber to share words of thanks to the PMC for the organization’s 37 years of support.

Dr. Benz and Starr will be joined by some of Dana-Farber’s leading doctors and researchers who will share how the PMC’s valuable contributions are making a direct impact by funding state-of-the-art treatments and life-saving breakthroughs with the hope of one day eradicating cancer.
