Jimmy Fund Clinic Patients Meet the PMC Cyclists Riding in their Honor

WHAT: Pediatric oncology patients from the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute selected as PMC Pedal Partners will meet the teams of cyclists that will be riding in their honor during the 37th annual PMC. In its 16th year, the PMC Pedal PartnerProgram is presented by John Hancock.
Pedal Partners, their families and PMC riders will enjoy a fun and interactive morning of activities, including Silly Willy making balloon animals, arts and crafts, tours of Fenway Park and a continental breakfast.
The PMC is a 192-mile bike-a-thon that has raised a total of $500 million for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber since 1980. It is the most successful single athletic fundraising event in the U.S. The PMC accounts for more than 55 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. On Aug. 6 and 7, more than 6,000 cyclists will ride up to 192 miles in the PMC with the goal of raising $46 million for Dana-Farber.
