DuVine Cycling & Adventure Company is Official Bike Tour Operator of the Pan-Mass Challenge

NEEDHAM, Mass. – DuVine Cycling & Adventure Company has renewed its commitment to the Pan-Mass Challenge, signing on for its second year of sponsorship.

Thousands of Pan-Mass Challenge cyclists will celebrate the crossing of the 100 mile mark with the chance to have their photo taken on a podium at the Wareham water stop, which is sponsored by DuVine. The photos are later made available for use through social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Riders will be treated to gourmet iced coffee and other refreshments before they continue on to complete the last 10 miles of the first day’s ride.

As the official bike tour operator of the PMC, there are many ways in which DuVine is supporting the event. This past spring, the company led 15 PMC cyclists on a week-long tour through Provence, France and in 2012, PMCers toured through Piedmont, Italy.  The company, known for its beautiful, well-guided, and luxurious biking tours around the world, has been a PMC supporter for years. DuVine donates the proceeds from its PMC tours back to the PMC.  In addition, DuVine is offering a $150 savings on tours booked before July 31, 2013 for PMC cyclists and volunteers.

“Supporting the PMC is an honor and a pleasure,” says DuVine President and Founder, Andy Levine, who has been a PMC cyclist for the past five years. “Our company is here to create beautiful and exciting experiences for people and being able to give back to our community makes the overall DuVine adventure more meaningful.”

About the Pan-Mass Challenge

The Pan-Mass Challenge is a pioneer of the athletic fundraising industry and today raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. This year’s goal is to raise $38 million for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. The PMC, an annual bike-a-thon that spans up to 190 miles, is a model of fundraising efficiency, donating 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to the cause. Since the PMC’s 1980 inception, the event has raised $375 million. The 34th annual PMC is Aug. 3 and 4. For more information about the PMC, or to register to ride, visit pmc.org.
